Relative movement

Relative movement is a challenge in several industries where moving equipment is in use

– We specialize in designing, engineering and building solutions for similar movement challenges in various industries that use moving equipment, such as printing presses and door mechanisms.

– We have developed hoses that last 50,000 cycles of type 1 radii (short radii) as per the ISO 10380:2012 certification and use 3D CAD systems to check the routing of the designed solutions. As a full-service ODM and BTP company we can solve all liquid and gas transportation challenges simultaneously.

– Our high-pressure hoses or bellows for gasses and liquids are the ultimate solution to a relative movement challenge. We are keen to advise, co-design, engineer, manufacture and validate your desired flexible metal hose or artery system.

Relative movement is a challenge in several industries that use moving equipment. Often the case with industrial equipment used in printing, presses, and loading arms, but it is also with indoor mechanisms or deployable cooling panels. Clients often ask us: “can you solve relative movement through thermal expansion?” or “we have to do maintenance on our equipment and need a flexible metal hose. Can you help?” The answer is always ‘yes’. Whatever challenge you have regarding relative movement, we provide a solution.

Being a experienced long-standing manufacturer of flexible hoses and bellows, we have learned a thing or two about relative movement. We understand the cinematics of movements and scales, as well as the speed and impulses. We consider the stresses, strains and rotations using calculations, simulations and durability testing. That’s how we help design, engineer and build the right technical solution to your challenge.

We develop hoses which last 50,000 cycles of type 1 radii (short radii) as per the ISO 10380:2012 certification – the only standard for flexible metal hoses that exists on the market. We also use 3D CAD systems to check the routing of the designed solutions, and we can directly integrate our hoses into our customers’ CAD systems. Furthermore, our PARRAP® hose exhibits bending radii even lower than those defined in the ISO10380 standard.
